COMES THE RAIN
I see the clouds approaching I
hear the wind blow I
see the showers nearing And
the disappearance of the sun’s glow COMES THE RAIN
That will water the flowers And
feed the river’s flow The
grass will be green again And
the fields will be ready to mow COMES THE RAIN
Which will bring a coolness there To
the outdoor show And
will dampen the troubles of those With
so many burdens in tow COMES THE RAIN
The hand of God appearing With
His fingers reaching below Then
from the rain will once more come The
warmth of His sun, don’t you know? COMES THE RAIN
This glorious prelude to a creation That
God will bestow So
cherish this phenomenon and recognize That
God is very much in control
