Flames
o’er the sea, Scorching
and burning before me. Blowing
and spreading across the waves. Can
I find Him who saves? With
red sky’s warning, I
wonder if a new age is forming. But
it’s true, that before time, As
it is now, Every
knee will bow. Push
forward to pray Through
these crushing torrents Of
spark and spray, For
the thunderous rumblings I fear, But
even more, Him, Who
draws near. Spread Thy hand
o’er me, O Lord, For upon these
fiery waters I walk. But Thy calm
washes o’er me, And Your Light
shines across this sea. By
faith I reach out, Claiming
my victory with a shout. And as sheep saved from slaughter, Jesus Christ, has calmed these waters. My
heart’s reflections Are
as flames of imperfections, For
the scorched and burning seas, Were
really just an image of me. Spread
Thy hand o’er me, O Lord, For upon these
fiery waters I walk. But Thy calm
washes o’er me, And Your Light
shines across the sea. My
Lord, Jesus, has spread out His hand, Turning
these fiery seas to dry land. And
now I’m saved from this lake of fire, Lifted
by Him, And
restored, into a place, Where I’ll never tire. Spread Thy hand
o’er me, O Lord, For upon these
fiery waters I walk. But Thy calm
washes o’er me, And Your Light
shines across the sea. Selah
