They
asked me to write about Independence Day,
The
Fourth of July,
What
a gift, I’d say.
If
I could sing, a duet with The Bell, I would bring,
For
a song in the heart,
Causes
freedom to ring.
But
the writing has been done, and we should be proud,
And
shout out that,
“God
Blessed America”,
Real
loud.
I
can’t write what everyone needs to look and see.
For
it’s in the glory, and the blood,
Shed
for me.
The
Fourth of July is about setting people free,
So
remember our heroes,
And
what Christ
Did
for thee.
Standup
and be proud of these, our, United States,
And
pray, that through grace,
Love
replaces all the hates.
This
Fourth of July with fireworks celebrate,
But,
lift your voice with your eyes,
And
thank God, we’re great!
