Look through the eyes of the lonely And
see what their heart tells them.
Lonely eyes
don’t mean happy hearts,
But eyes on the
Lord do! The windows of the soul, some say, How
yet, can our heart be changed? The
fullness of sorrow and gloom, Tears
even flee the sadness.
Lonely eyes
don’t mean happy hearts,
But eyes on the
Lord do! What
praise can be seen from these eyes, While
gladness is not at home? Searched
within and found no treasure, The
reflection is lost. Can
man change this heart of mine? Can
Jesus be the answer?
Lonely eyes
don’t mean happy hearts,
But eyes on the
Lord do! How
can I see without God’s love? Only
blindness my reward! From
the eyes of a heart longing, Here
seen images of sin. Find
The Light to open the eyes, The
Light is Jesus the Lord! Changing
the heart is acts of love, Then
what’s seen, Is
from above. Lonely eyes don’t mean happy hearts, But eyes on the Lord do!
